India to fly own space shuttle in a year

Even as the Obama Administration wants to take down NASA’s human space flight program, it is good, though a bit bittersweet, to read that the Indians are going full-throttle with their space program, as reported in The Asia Age, India to fly own space shuttle in a year.

Within a year, the Indians will start flight testing their space glider, first by launching it to 60 miles altitude that defines the edge of space, and then progressively higher.
