CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla — Yesterday’s video compilation was a mixture of United Launch Alliance video and audio as well as elements produced by Wired4Space. We have been trying out new angles and more video recorders—and it is starting to pay off. Watch this video to see what we mean. This video was shot during the launch of a ULA Atlas V 401 rocket with the SBIRS GEO-2 spacecraft from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 41 in Florida. Liftoff occurred right on time at 5:21 p.m. EST, March 19, 2013.

For upcoming launches we will be using even more video recorders and strengthened boxes (we have been using bags and other make-shift implements, but feel this can only cause issues and makes us look unprofessional). We think you will agree. The effort more than paid off, and we get better at this every time we do it!
