When the twin Mars Exploration Rovers Spirit and Opportunity landed on the Red Planet back in 2004 a clueless MTV commentator made a derisive comment about the jubilant scientists at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, Calif. Now, eight years later, JPL has done it again, bigger, badder and better than before and a video has been produced honoring JPL’s accomplishment – with a healthy dose of humor.

The comments in this opinion piece are just that – opinion. Watch the video and have a good laugh.
