CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla – Every year for the past five years the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) hosts its annual autograph show. This year is no different. Held at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Nov. 1-3 this year’s show will include 33 space flyers.

The astronauts and special guests include Moonwalkers Buzz Aldrin, Alan Bean, Eugene Cernan, Charlie Duke, Edgar Mitchell and David Scott.

Astronauts will also be available to pose for photos and there will be lectures as well as an auction. The highlight of the event will be the arrival of space shuttle to her new home at the Visitor Complex. Atlantis will take the 9.8 mile journey to the Visitor Complex on Nov. 2.

The autograph show is more than just an opportunity to grab a memento from an astronaut and see a space shuttle. All funds generated by this event will benefit the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization designed to help maintain the United States’ leadership role in technology and aerospace fields. Scholarships are provided to exceptional students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).

  1. I hope and pray that security will be so tight that an ant couldn’t crawl on the sidewalk across the street without being detected. These astronauts are a priceless national treasure, a living example of the very best that our great nation can produce, and a tremendous source of pride and inspiration for all Americans. There are without question, hateful, ignorant, primitive, medieval, barbaric, murderous, sub-humans who would take vile satisfaction in attacking America and our courageous astronaut heroes as they used their best efforts to raise funds to educate young men and women. How generous and admirable of our Mercury 7 astronauts to create a scholarship fund. I only wish I could attend. What a tremendous event! Every best wish to the astronauts and attendees!
