Apollo Ascends — The Saturn V (500-Foot Test Vehicle) at Pad 39A in the summer of 1966. Just three years later, NASA would complete the challenge set forth by President Kennedy and land men on the Moon.

    Correction: it’s the “Saturn 500F”. “F” designates “Facilities” as in facilities checkout, not “feet” as in 500 feet.
    The Saturn 500F was dimensionally identical in heigh to the operational Saturn V- approx 364 feet tall.
