Retro Space Images: Apollo 15 Heading for Hadley

Full Thrust: The Apollo 15 Saturn V lifts off from Pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center on the morning of July 26, 1971, with astronauts Dave Scott, Al Worden, and Jim Irwin aboard. Scott and Irwin would land the Lunar Module “Falcon” in the Hadley-Appenine region of the Moon on July 30, 1971. This was the eighth successful manned launching of the Saturn V rocket.
