Reading Sessions Says Meeting with NASA’s Bolden “Troubling” , the good news for NASA’s executive management is that Senator Sessions is only the Ranking Member, not the Chairman, of the Senate Judiciary Committee. That means that the cabal leading White House and NASA efforts to shut-down Constellation, in likely to certain violation of the Shelby language inserted in the FY 2010 Omnibus Bill, don’t have too much to worry about…for now. Still, having a full Committee Ranking Member gunning for you can’t be good.
AmericaSpace Note: We continue to be amazed on a daily basis not only of the epic political and policy failure promulgated by OSTP and a few within NASA, but at the unwillingness of these individuals to admit they’ve lost and look for a face-saving way for the Administration out of the quagmire that is the President’s proposed FY 2010 NASA Budget. Instead, the whole scene is like watching a train wreck in slow motion; it’s as tragic as it is oddly…well, fascinating.
