A very happy 4th of July to Jim Hillhouse, Jason Rihan, Ben Evans and all of the great staff and contributors of AmericaSpace who teach and inform us about one of the things that makes this such a great nation – our program of space exploration. Also, a great 4th of July to Tom, Leonidas (yeah, I know you’re Greek, but hey, you guys invented democracy! 🙂 ) and to the many intelligent, respectful, dedicated individuals who post on AmericaSpace. If you would be so kind, as you are enjoying this holiday – the barbeque, the parade, the fireworks – PLEASE remember the veterans who have made your freedom possible, their sacrifices, and for some heroes, the ultimate sacrifice.
Oops, so sorry Ben. I forgot that you are British, but, other than that bit of a dust up in 1812, we’ve gotten along rather well since 1776. We greatly appreciate and value our stalwart allies “across the pond”, and our cherished friends who call Britain their home.

Jim and Jason, along with the rest of the excellent stuff, you make AmericaSpace alive!
It may sound like a worn-out cliche, but do take the time to reflect on and celebrate the things that make the US a great country (I’d put the space program on the top of the list, but I guess everyone has different opinions). And take some time to reflect, on how you can turn around as a nation, the sad things that don’t really belong to the character of a free nation.
