House & Senate Race To Approve Space Bills

Marcia Smith over at SpacePolicyOnline.com reports that Rep. Bart Gordon, the Chairman of the House Science and Technology Committee, said that the House may take up H.R. 5781, the NASA 2010 Authorization Bill. Not particularly good news for those hoping that the Senate’s NASA 2010 Authorization Bill would dominate the House’s. For those who a mere month ago thought that the Obama Administration’s proposed space plans would survive, neither bill is good news, but certainly the House version is the "bad cop" to the Senate version’s "good cop".
