Frank Mooring, who writes Aviation Week & Space Technology’s On Space blog, has an great post, Gotcha!
Last week during debate in the House Science & Technology Committee over the Committee’s 2010 NASA Authorization Act, Rep. Grayson demanded a roll call vote to record for posterity’s sake Republicans voting to preserve a $500M loan guarantee program for “commercial launchers”. Even Rep. Rohrabacher, one of the most conservative members of Congress and a big critic of NASA, voted in favor of the loan guarantees.
Classic Grayson quote: “This bill provides for $500 million in government support to companies with no revenue, no profits, virtually no capital, no customers and no profit. This is the epitome of socialism and corporate welfare.”
Classic!
