CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla – The only element of the above video that is not from AmericaSpace partner Wired4Space is the voiceover audio. All other elements were produced either by Wired4Space or AmericaSpace. Wired4Space’s Jeff Seibert positioned several video cameras out at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 41, providing different angles of the launch of the U.S. Air Force’s secretive Orbital Test Vehicle on mission OTV-3.
The video in this image was produced using different video recorders, including the new GoPro Hero 3. As Wired4Space’s owner put it, “The new GoPro 3 is a cracking camera and is far better than its predecessors.”
Liftoff took place right on time at 1:03 p.m. EDT. Weather had been predicted as providing only a 30 percent chance of favorable conditions for launch. However, about an hour before launch the skies cleared directly above the launch site, with a cerulean blue window above the pad. The perfect weather attracted alligators in the water directly in front of the launch complex, providing a picture perfect target for the photographers in attendance.
Another LAUNCH well done & well reported…especially the VIDEO AND “SLO-MO”…FASCINATING!!
PEOPLE NEED TO SEE THESE THINGS! THANKS FOR SHARING..!!!
