NASA Administrator Charlie Bolden will testify before the House Commerce, Justice, Science Appropriations Subcommittee at 9 a.m. EDST, Wednesday, March 21st. Bolden will be testifying before the Subcommittee on the White House’s proposed NASA budget for fiscal year 2013, which begins October 1, 2012. One of the more difficult questions for the NASA Administrator will be the justification for the proposed cut to the Orion MPCV program and budget increase for the commercial crew program, neither of which are in-line with the 2010 NASA Authorization Act . Sure to come-up in the hearing is NASA’s justification for pulling-out of the European Space Agency’s ExoMars program, a move that the House CSJ Subcommittee Chairman Frank Wolf has requested NASA put on hold for now.
