The Canadian Press is reporting that the Russian Space Agency have given a red light to a request by SpaceX that its Dragon capsule be allowed to dock to ISS later this year. In an article, Russian space agency won’t let private US spacecraft dock with ISS until reliability proven Alexei Krasnov, supervisor of manned missions at the Russian Space Agency, was quoted as saying Friday that safety concerns first need to be addressed. Since the Dragon spacecraft has only flown once and its in-orbit autonomous rendezvous and docking capabilities remain unfinished and therefore untested, the Russians have a good point.
